One of Spencer Rotary’s primary fundraising efforts each year involves driving golf carts during the Clay County Fair. Our club members volunteer to pick up shifts during the nine days of the Fair to provide free rides to fairgoers, carrying them into the Fair from the free parking lot in the morning and back to their vehicles at the end of the day. All hours worked by our club are paid by the Fair. Those funds go directly to the club and are then reinvested into our community in the form of our many local service projects, scholarships, and grant opportunities. This is one of the most fun and enjoyable volunteer activities you will find!
